Near Field Communication

Near Field communication is a new type of software that allow for wireless transactions to occur using a mobile device. Like QR codes, near field communication system utilizes mobile devices in a new and exciting way. The system allows for the simplification of bank transactions. Usually when people want to complete a transaction, they have to go through an online system. Now, with the introduction of the near field communication, people are able to complete bank transactions and send payment to another user that is in close proximity. It is one of the first systems on the market that center on payment by smartphone analogy. This systems, although not quite popular in the United States, is already gaining the attention of many big time mobile companies such as blackberry and Sony.

How it works

The whole software concept of the near field communication system utilizes radio frequency identification. How radio frequency identification works is that one mobile machine is able to send radio frequencies to another machine. The frequency wave that is transmitted has an electronic identification tag associated with it. From there the tag can be identified and tracked. A mobile device would have its own electronic identification tag associated with it and from there it can be traced and send signals to their mobile devices. When one mobile device sends payment or other bank transactions from other device, the electronic identification tag is also sent. This allows mobile phone users to identify who sent payment and also protects the person making a payment as the tag is unique to each phone.
